After a few days, the front desk followed up saying they had a company come out to inspect. They then sent a bellhop to our room to give us a new room key and left, but they didn’t even offer to help us move our stuff. He SAW the bedbug that was trapped under the glass. We also showed him exactly where the bedbug was trapped and he took a photo of that also. I asked him what filing a report would do and he said, “basically nothing but document it.” The security officer took a few presumably terrible photos because he didn’t even know how to operate the camera. He told me I can do nothing or file a report. I filed a report with their security after I asked him what the options were. When the security officer arrived, he just looked at us and asked, “what do you want to do?” He didn’t even explain what our options were or why he was there. I called down to the front desk who said they will send up security.
I got up and took a photo of the bedbug while my partner grabbed a glass from the bathroom to trap it. I turned on the lights in the room and almost immediately saw bedbugs on the bed. On our first night at their hotel, I was woken up due to severe itching all over my body.
